We visited the Christmas day buffet. It was busy, but the employees worked hard to give everyone a great experience. It was an enjoyable way to visit with family from different towns.
The service is very friendly but the hotel is very dated. I think with a serious renovation this place would be phenomenal. Great location down in Ottumwa. A minimalistic breakfast is available starting at 0500 which is convenient. Parking was on street, in the alleys on either side of the hotel or across the street in a parking garage.
I liked the experience and the food. Lots if good food and a decent bar on site. The staff can be some of the nicest around.
Went for lunch buffet on Christmas day. Fantastic food, great service. Ate way too much and wish I could have eaten more.
Got the pancakes from the menu, rather than from the buffet. Nice and fluffy. Bacon that came with your meal, rather than from the buffet was way better. Bacon from the buffet was just wimpy.
